The Yachtcare Epoxy 2K Filler is particularly suitable for underwater work. Its outstanding water resistance makes it ideal for minor repairs on the underwater hull. The Epoxy Base Filler is also ideal for use above water.
It can be used on all boat building materials such as GRP, CFRP, steel, aluminum and rigid wood and can be applied in a layer thickness of up to two centimeters.
GRP, steel and aluminum substrates should be primed with a two-component epoxy primer.
The EPOXY BASE FILLER is a solvent-free, two-component filler and fine putty based on epoxy.

Pot life: approx. 30 minutes (20°C). Sandable after: 6 hours (20°C). Recoating interval with a primer: min. 12 hours, max. 24 hours (20°C) (sanded filler). Fully cured: after 5 days (20°C).
PROCESSING
The surface must be clean, dry, free of grease, and free of any dirt. Any loose or poorly adhering components must also be removed or sanded away beforehand. Thoroughly remove sanding dust. We recommend always priming the surface with a two-component epoxy primer before applying filler.
Mix the base and hardener of the EPOXY BASE FILLER in the specified mixing ratio and stir well until a homogeneous, light grey colour is achieved.
Only mix the amount that can be used within 15 minutes. Epoxy Base Filler should not be used at temperatures below +10°C.
No more than 2 cm of layer thickness should be applied per coat. If a higher total layer thickness is required, the last layer must be sanded before applying a new filler layer. The maximum recoating interval between two filler layers should not exceed 24 hours (+20°C).
The curing of the applied product can be accelerated by applying heat up to a maximum of +60°C (tempering).
