Yachtcare Epoxy 2K filler is particularly suitable for underwater work. It is characterized above all by its high water resistance. This means that minor repairs to the underwater hull are easily accomplished. The epoxy base filler can also be used effectively above the waterline.
It can be applied to all boatbuilding materials such as GRP, CFRP, steel, aluminium and rigid wood , and can be applied in a layer thickness of up to two centimeters.
GRP, steel and aluminium substrates should be primed with a two-component epoxy primer.
EPOXY BASE FILLER is a solvent-free, two-component epoxy-based filler and finishing compound.

Pot life: approx. 30 minutes (20°C). Sandable after: 6 hours (20°C). Recoating interval with primer: min. 12 hours, max. 24 hours (20°C) (sanded filler). Fully cured: after 5 days (20°C).
PROCESSING
The surface must be clean, dry, free of grease and dirt. Loose or poorly adhering particles must also be removed or sanded away beforehand. Thoroughly remove sanding dust. We recommend always priming the surface with a two-component epoxy primer before applying the filler.
Mix the base and hardener of the EPOXY BASE FILLER in the specified mixing ratio and stir well until a homogeneous, light grey color is achieved.
Mix only the amount that can be used within 15 minutes. Epoxy base filler should not be used at temperatures below +10°C.
No more than 2.0 cm of filler should be applied per coat. If a greater total layer thickness is required, the previous coat must be sanded before applying a new coat. The maximum interval between two coats of filler should not exceed 24 hours (+20°C).
The applied product can be hardened more quickly by applying heat up to a maximum of +60°C (tempering).
